Public Participation Plan
The public comment period for the proposed amendments to the Public Participation Plan is open through 5 PM on Friday, October 22, 2010. More information, including how and where to comment, and the draft document are available on-line at http://www.thempo.org/news/publicnotices.cfm. A paper copy of the document can be reviewed at Lane Council of Governments, 859 Willamette, Suite 500, Eugene. The Metropolitan Policy Committee will review comments and take action on the proposed amendments at their November meeting, the date and location yet to be announced due to a conflict with Veterans Day.
DRAFT Conformity Determination - FFY10-13 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program.
As part of this update process, the MPO must complete a regional transportation air quality conformity for carbon monoxide (CO). Transportation conformity is a way to ensure that Federal funding and approval goes to those transportation activities that do not cause a violation of the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) of the Clean Air Act. Carbon monoxide is the only pollutant that must be addressed by Central Lane MPO. The conformity determination describes the analysis of the short and long term effect of the planned transportation projects.
A public hearing is scheduled and public comment period is open for the transportation conformity determination.
