Nick Seigal, GIS Analyst, has been with LCOG since 2006, specializing in GIS application development, planning process automation, spatial database design, spatial analysis, and public participation GIS tools. Nick leads a multi-agency committee on regional land use data which focuses on maintenance and quality management process improvement, data redesign and inter-agency coordination. Previously, Nick worked on several award-winning land use planning applications, including a public participation growth forecasting tool used for over 250 small towns, cities, and suburbs in the Chicago area. He has also developed applications to measure the environmental, demographic and fiscal impacts of land use and transportation scenarios at the regional, state, and federal levels.
Nick has a Bachelor's of Science in philosophy and a Master's in community and regional planning from the University of Oregon. Nick has worked as a custom GIS software application developer and GIS project analyst since 1997.
